Lace is an open-work fabric, patterned with open holes, made by machine or by hand. Lace, one of Fall’s fashion trends is also influencing jewelry.  Lace-like patterns lend themselves to jewelry making today, because of the cost of precious metals such as gold, platinum, even silver, lace like open work allows the creation of large scale pieces without the weight in the metal used.
