Spring Trends 2011

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

Rose gold has been increasing in popularity over the past few years. It works well with almost all the spring color clothes, especially with purples, pinks, shades of browns and neutrals, not to mention soft greys which perhaps falls into the neutral tones for Spring category.

Other fine jewelry trends to keep an eye on are pearls, yellow gold and saturated gemstones, bold statement necklaces, medallion pendants and pieces composed of eco-friendly materials like wood, bone or stone. Another popular look is that of layering longer necklaces with shorter ones to give that consistent flow.

The bottom line is to remain original by making whatever you wear your own! HAPPY SPRING!

Jewelry Gifts For Valentine’s Day

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

Many women eagerly await this day, not only because they get to celebrate their love but also because many get showered with amazing gifts from their significant others.  While flowers, especially roses and chocolates top the list, jewelry runs a very close second.

When it comes to love, a more universal symbol than the heart does not exist. It is for this reason that heart form jewelry is one of the most popular gifts among people who love each other. Heart jewelry remains a symbol of care, love and profound friendship.

Engagement Proposing Season

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

The holidays are over making room for the engagement ring buying season.  Many consider it ultra romantic to propose on Valentine’s Day. When looking for that special ring there are many factors to take into consideration; Platinum or Gold?  Modern or traditional?  Flashy or understated?  Diamonds or another precious gemstone? Solitaire or embellished  etc. etc?

You may also want to consider buying the stone separately as you usually get a better deal this way. Also, look at stones that are a fraction less than the next carat eg.0.80 ct instead of 1.00 ct or 1.90 ct instead of 2.00 ct etc. The indiscernible

difference can add up to big savings.

Remember diamonds aren’t for everyones taste, some prefer a colored stone like an emerald, sapphire, topaz etc. flanked by smaller diamonds on the sides or surrounding the stone.
